Tampa Bay Rays vs. Baltimore Orioles Tampa Bay Rays
-122 at 5DIMES > 20h.
1* Take the Tampa Bay Rays on the Moneyline, This pick falls into one of my top MLB systems and the Rays are 4-1 in David Price's (7-7, 4.65 ERA) last 5 starts against a team with a losing record. The Rays are 7-2 in their last 9 road games against a team with a losing record and they are 8-3 in their last 11 trips to Baltimore. The Orioles are just 0-7 in David Hernandez's (4-7, 5.05 ERA) last 7 starts as an underdog and they are also just 0-6 in Hernandez's last 6 starts against a team with a winning record. Hernandez has been hit hard in his last 2 starts and I look for the Rays bats to come alive against him Monday night. Take the Tampa Bay Rays as my MLB Bonus Play for Monday night.

LAA Angels vs. New York Yankees New York Yankees
-110 at SPBOOK > 20h.
On Monday the Bonus Play is on the Yankees. Game 916 at 7:05 eastern. Newyork finally busted out yesterday. They blew out the Orioles 13-3. Today they have Joba Chamberlain making the strart against the Angels. The Angels have J.Wever going tonight. This could be a tough spot for the Angels, as they fly cross country in to the big apple.

Newyork qualifies in a nice system that cashes over 75% of the time. What we want to do is play on certain home teams off a home favored win, if they won by 5 or more runs and scored 10 or more runs. When the opponent comes in off a home win this system charges to almost 80%. The Yanks had a wild weekend with all the excitement of D.Jeter breaking the franchise hits record. Today things get back to normal. In late phone action I have two big MLB systems. Both are hitting over 90%. I also have a play in one of the Monday night football games. For the Bonus Play take the Yankees.

Buffalo Bills vs. New England Patriots Total
47½ un-110 at SIA > 20h.
Monday Night Football kicks off with a double-header with the first matchup taking place in New England with the host New England Patriots and the visiting Buffalo Bills. Tom Brady makes his return after suffering a knee injury in the first game of the 2008 season. From all appearances he seems fine but there will be some rust even though he played sparingly in the preseason. The big news for the Bills in the offseason was the acquisition of WR Terrell Owens in an effort to improve the 22nd ranked passing offense in the league. This series has been dominated by the ‘under’ with 21 of 33 falling below the posted total since 1992 and 16 of the last 20. The Bills are 1-11 under on the road when facing a divisional opponent for the first time of the season and 0-7 under as a road dog versus a divisional opponent before playing at home against a non-divisional opponent. The Patriots are 3-13 under as a home 7+ favorite versus a divisional opponent. NFL Teams are 1-14-1 under on the road versus a divisional opponent before playing against a non-divisional opponent, 0-9-1 under on the road versus a divisional opponent before playing at home against a non-divisional opponent and 0-9 under as a favorite on grass versus a divisional opponent before playing on the road. NFL games with a total of 45.5 or more have posted a record of 4-18 under their last 22 overall. With series history on our side along with solid technical support we will play this game to fall well below the posted total as the Bills and Patriots faceoff in a defensive duel.

GRADED SELECTION: 2* Buffalo / New England UNDER 47.5

After such a Cinderella season in '08, the Rays have really fallen off as '09 has progressed. In fact, the Rays have lost 10 straight games! With their season over, the youngsters are getting a chance to shine. Rookie lefthander David Price starts today for Tampa and is 7-7 on the season with a 4.65 ERA. He will face off against another rookie, Baltimore starter David Hernandez. Hernandez is 4-7 on the seaosn with a 5.05 ERA. Hernandez got roughed up in his last start, lasting just 2 2/3 innings against the Red Sox where he gave up four home runs. Don't expect either pitcher to fair well today as this one should be an offensive show. Take the %

Hot Lines: Today's best MLB bets

Colorado Rockies at San Francisco Giants (-185, 7)

This is the moment of truth for the Giants. If they still harbor dreams of the postseason, they have to make a move on the Rockies in this series.

San Francisco didn't do itself any favors by dropping the first two games of its series with the Los Angeles Dodgers by a combined 19-4 to fall 5.5 games behind the second-place Rockies, who lead the National League wild card race.

After those losses, ace Tim Lincecum had some strong words for his teammates.

"We've been pretty lax the last couple of days," he told the team's web site. "I think it's time for something to kick us in the butt. ... We have to turn something on. This is where it counts."

The kick came in the form of a 7-2 win Sunday over the Dodgers that cut the margin to 4.5 games. Now the Giants take an 18-5 record in home series openers into their matchup with the Rockies.

Lincecum, who was scratched from his last start with a back injury, held the Rockies scoreless on four hits over eight innings of a 2-0 home win Aug. 28.

Pick: San Francisco

Los Angeles Angels at New York Yankees (-110, 9.5)

The "Joba rules" are starting to put a strain on the Yankees bullpen.

In limiting Joba Chamberlain's season innings total, the Yankees have used their young right-hander for just three innings in each of his last three starts.

And Chamberlain has allowed at least two runs in all of those outings. He has been bailed out by Alfredo Aceves, who twice has followed him with three scoreless frames.

Meanwhile, Angels starter Jered Weaver is 2-0 with a 1.40 ERA and a 1.19 WHIP (walks + hits per inning) is his last three starts. He is pitching as an underdog for the first time since June 9 at Tampa Bay, and the Angels are 2-1 when Weaver starts with the cheaper price.

The Angels have won 11 of the last 16 meetings between the teams, including the last four. They have outscored the Yankees 32-22 in those wins.

Pick: Los Angeles

Streaking and Slumping Pitchers

Streaking

Jered Weaver (15-5, 3.71 ERA), Los Angeles Angels

For a little while last season, Jered’s older brother Jeff had the bragging rights. But Jered has bounced back with another great season.

The young hurler has allowed only three runs in his last three starts and has struck out 14 and walked just one in his last 13 1-3 innings.

“Jered’s done a terrific job of keeping us in games and giving us a chance to win on a consistent basis,” Halos manager Mike Scioscia told MLB.com. “That’s what you’re looking for from your starting pitchers, and has come through for us.”

Los Angeles is 7-3 in Weaver’s last 10 outings.

Wandy Rodriguez (13-9, 2.76), Houston Astros

The Astros ace is smoking hot over his last five trips to the mound. Houston is 3-2 in those games and the under is 4-0-1 and 7-2-1 in his last 10 starts.

He’s allowed just five earned runs over his last 35 innings pitched.

“Wandy’s been great for us,” manager Cecil Cooper told reports following a recent start against the Phillies. “I thought he was real sharp. That’s a pretty good hitting team, a good offense on the other side, and I thought he commanded the zone really good with his fastball and used his breaking ball.

“He kept them off balance, and that’s what you have to do with good hitting teams.”

Slumping

David Hernandez (4-7, 5.05), Baltimore Orioles

This former reliever doesn’t provide much relief for Baltimore backers when he toes the rubber. Hernandez has given up 11 earned runs in his last two starts (7 2-3 innings) and he’s been taken out of the park seven times over the same stretch by opposing hitters.

“All of those homers were supposed to be fastballs away, but they were in the middle,” Hernandez told reporters after given up four dingers to the Sox in his last start. “Right now I’m a thrower out there. I’m not a pitcher. The worst part is when you make mistakes they’re all going to get hit hard.”

The O’s are 0-5 in the right’s last five outings and the over is 3-2.

Buffalo Bills vs. New England Patriots Buffalo Bills
+12½-110 at SIA > 10h.
BUF +10.5: Search around by game time this spread will most likely be even higher. This is a huge trend play!

Must know betting trends:

-Bills are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games in Week 1.

-Bills are 2-6 ATS in their last 8 meetings in NE.

-Patriots are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 Monday games.

-Patriots are 1-10 ATS in last 11 games as a favorite of 10.5 or greater.

-Road team is 6-2 ATS in their last 8 meetings.

-Bills are 0-5 ATS in their last 5 meetings.

-Favorite is 5-0 ATS in their last 5 meetings.

Almost every trend points to the Bills covering. Don't be fooled by preseason games either BUF 1st team offense struggled but as we have seen this year preseason doesn't mean much. The Patriots have a ton of new starters on defense with no veteran players to give that leadership they once had. The Bill keep this one close and NE plays just good enough to get the win but not the cover. SCORE NE 28 - BUF 20

Sunday comp play winner on Denver-Cincinnati UNDER the total. Now 33-17-3 the last 53 days with our Bonus Plays!

Baseball action on Monday, and the time is so right for the Cardinals to end their three game losing streak.

St. Louis got swept at home by Atlanta this past weekend, and we just get the feeling that enough is enough, and the Cards will come through against the Marlins in this spot tonight.

True, Todd Wellemeyer has been a weak-link in LaRussa's rotation, but while Ricky Nolasco has won his last 2 starts, he has been far from dominant, allowing 9 runs over his last 17 innings of work.

Florida needed yesterday's game, but lost to the Nats, and they are just 2-4 their last 6 played at Busch Stadium.

At near a pick, we prefer the Cards who are still 43-29 at home this year.

Play on the Redbirds.

Complimentary Picks and Analysis
PHILADEPLHIA PARK Race #3 at 1:10 PM Eastern
Top pick: #3 (SO LONG JOHNY) - Mare by "Cat Thief" has the best early speed and has more wins on this surface (eight) than the rest of the field combined (six). It's a bit of a puzzle why they're running her so low today ($7500), but barn Gill/Adamo does this all the time.
The top pick.2nd pick: #2 (Jovanna) - Daughter of "Minardi" won last out at Monmouth at odds of 1-10, sprinting clear and barely lasting. Lightly raced the past two years and she has a lot of back class. Hard to not consider a Richard Dutrow runner.
3rd pick: #4 (Unbiased) - As consistent as the come at this level. Her record over the past two years is (22-6-7-5) with most coming just below this price. Speed/stalker gets to sit outside the top two picks before deciding what to do. Contender.

Chris Jordan:
he has a 100* trifecta in mlb (all runlines) I assume he's on:
Tigers w/ Verlander for sure
Rangers w/ Feldman
Dodgers w/ Garland
He also has a 400* play which i would assume is on the Chargers
